Advantage trtmnt, flea shampoo, flea bombs in the house and my kid still gets flea bites, what else can you do?

I use the Advantage treatment on both cats and one dog every 3-4 weeks. bathe them with a good flea shampoo and treat the house (which is all tile except 1 room). I have seen no fleas or traces, the animals arent scratching and the adults in the house have no bites.

we're in florida and the last several nights its gotten down below 30 degrees so i thought for sure the fleas wouldnt be around, but today i saw a bunch of bites on my kid. why is this?Advantage trtmnt, flea shampoo, flea bombs in the house and my kid still gets flea bites, what else can you do?
Fleas are excellent at hiding and being dormant, then will suddenly appear. Try mixing some tea tree oil with water and using it on both pets and people. It is natural, can't hurt, and works wonderfully!Advantage trtmnt, flea shampoo, flea bombs in the house and my kid still gets flea bites, what else can you do?
It is possible your son is getting the bites outside. Does he go outside often?

Also despite what you may hear freezing temps does not kill the fleas! My dog gets fleas year around if i do not treat him and i am in Missouri. Temps got into the negatives with wind chill this year.

I would recommend having a professional come in and checking out the house. If adults aren't getting bit I see no reason why your son still would be.
Get an exterminator. Flea bombs almost never work - even for mild flea problems. The advantage should be killing them and sometimes it takes awhile for them all to completely die off. It's also possible your animals are still bringing them in from outside, especially if there are alot of other animals around your area. If it's still a problem in a week, I'd recommend somebody professional, maybe not even a professional treatment but at least some advice.
Well after working at the department of agriculture for a while....I learned that government agencies are free and EASY information....face it the government has so much money they can actually hire file clerks for things like the 4H clubs......and if they can do that and I know because I did it...then there HAS to be an agency for your question. I am sorry that I wouldn't know which one to begin with......however it might behoove u to think in this way...for there may just be an agency to assist you in this for free.....what u are doing is incredibly time consuming and painstaking......in fact Call the Dept. of Agriculture where ever you are, or a University or a Pest Control Company and see what the experts recommend. In essence look to fix the circuit breakers before you rewire the house.......(an analogy)

They may not be flea bites but maybe some other insect. Have you seen fleas on the dogs and cats? You can take a flea comb and run it through the fur and you will get flea dirt out if they do have fleas. You may want to have your doctor check to see if they are flea bites on your child.
